PUBLIC HEALTH & PREVENTATIVE MEDICINE
Voice of Leaders
The Triage Project is a local community service initiative that uses the patented Triage Software to train volunteers in clinical skills and practice in the field. This project will serve community participants with clinical screenings and referrals to appropriate national medical societies. The project was launched in Riyadh, KSA in January, 2016 by Dr. Shaista Hussain, MD, and we look forward to making strides with our loving volunteers!
[Charity is] for the poor who have been restricted for the cause of Allah, unable to move about in the land. An ignorant [person] would think them self-sufficient because of their restraint, but you will know them by their [characteristic] sign. They do not ask people persistently [or at all]. And whatever you spend of good – indeed, Allah is Knowing of it.
Al Baqara: 273
WORKSHOPS & FIELD TRIPS
"During my medical practice I worked in Turkey . Whenever women in rural areas found out that I am a medic, they opened their hearts and asked me for examination. These women were hard working in their households and they suffered serious from serious conditions but they never went to see a doctor. A project like Triage is of paramount importance to scores of people in rural areas across the muslim world and I fully support it."
